Happy Halloween!!!

...Is what I want to say with an ultra-sparkly emote, all happy and stuff but what I really wanna say is...

ICK.

I just ruined the whole pic with the stupid background. ._.;;;

Otherwise, the only positive thing I've succeeded in doing for this pic is forget a bunch of stuff that I was supposed to add due to the time [points to clock that reads 1 a.m] , and do a bit of decent lighting for once.

My first mixed media deviation and I slaved on it for approximately 8 hours in total.

The sketch took about half an hour surprisingly with an extra ten minutes for the last-minute adjustment before I spent about an hour and a half on inking and the rest fiddling with my markers, making everything look weird and trying to make it look good on DA with my acrylics, messed around with my color pencils and had a few Homer moments [D'OH!! >.<] and last but not least, was half-asleep while finishing the BG and finishing touches on OpenCanvas. e.e;;

So yeah. my rant aside...

Due to your patience with my half-assed rant up there, I present to you a half-assed story to go with the rant!!

Trick-or-treaters roamed the streets that very night. On regular days, it would be a nice night to just curl up on the couch watching some movies with some friends but Kay was alone as the rest of her family went to visit her grandparents.

It wasn't her fault that she came home late from piano class, having to drive herself to and from the institute and it wasnt her fault that she couldnt drive herself to her grandparent's house because as soon as she drove into the garage, the car died on her.

And so she sat in her couch with her phone by her side, munching on trick-or-treating candy she was supposed to give away. So far, the street she lived in was rather quiet. only a handful of trick-or-treaters came by her residence but she just shrugged it off. After all, she's seen most of her neighbors go out for dinner or visit their relatives.

As she was flipping through some channels, the doorbell rang. She rolled her eyes skywards, not really wanting to get out of her seat, even more so since whoever was at her door was her 13th visitor.

But the doorbell wouldn't stop ringing. She grumbled, "Alright ,alright, I'm coming!" and unlocked the door. Forcing a smile on her face, the effort was for naught as she looked down at the unusual pair before her. Most of the time, Kay was able to guess what her guests were dressed up as but in this case, they were rather hard to tell.

Her visitors were twins, a dark-haired girl with red eyes and a fair-haired boy with blue eyes. ...AND a very intimidating stare, complete with the psychotic smirk.

Neither visitor nor couch potato uttered a word for a moment and just as Kay was about to greet them, the fair-haired boy said, "Ask us 'trick or treat'."

She found this strange, "Aren't you supposed to ask me that and I'm just supposed to give you candy?"

The smirk and stare didnt falter and the boy repeated himself. Kay raised an eyebrow. The duo didnt seem to be any older than 11 or 12 and if she looked closer at their costumes, the red stains meant to resemble blood appeared very convincing.

Giving up when the boy repeated himself a third time, she raised her free hand in defense, "Fine, fine... Trick or treat?"

If it was possible for his grin to grow any wider, it did. He chuckled and pulled a rapier out of the cane he carried with him, the blade riddled with a viscous, crimson liquid as he stabbed the teen through the chest. His victim's eyes grew wide with shock as she fell to the ground in a heap, bleeding from the small wound he'd inflicted upon her.

Sheathing his weapon and looking down at the teen, the boy chuckled, "Trick."
